The Ashwagandha group received 300 mg of Ashwagandha root extract capsules twice daily for 8 weeks. Cardiorespiratory endurance was assessed by measuring the maximum aerobic capacity (VO2 max). Stress management was evaluated through Total Quality Recovery Scores, Recovery-Stress Questionnaire for Athletes, Daily Analysis of Life Demands for Athletes, and antioxidant level measurements.

The results were astounding. The Ashwagandha group demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in VO2 max compared to the placebo group. Participants in the Ashwagandha group also showed a significant increase from baseline. Moreover, they experienced significantly improved stress management, as evidenced by enhanced Total Quality Recovery Scores and favorable outcomes in various assessment measures.

The study concluded that Ashwagandha root extract successfully enhances cardiorespiratory endurance and improves the quality of life for healthy, athletic adults. Notably, no adverse effects were reported by any of the participants.
