Back to all articlesImagine working in a super-busy city, where every day feels like a marathon. That’s where Nina Nevanperä noticed something. Loads of women were super tired, and not just because they had lots of work. They felt a kind of deep-down tiredness called “occupational burnout.” It’s like when you feel you’ve played too many video games non-stop, but instead of games, it’s work! 😉
So, Nina got curious. She gathered 230 women, all juggling their jobs and life, to see if this work-stress was making them eat differently. And guess what? Those who felt super stressed at work were also stress-eating. It’s like munching on chips when you’re binge-watching a series, but this was because of job worries.
A year passed, and here’s the plot twist: the same women found it hard to change their munching habits. It seemed like their work stress had kinda put a spell on their snack choices!
So, what’s the big reveal? When work gets too heavy, it doesn’t just stay at work. It comes home and might just decide what’s for dinner. It’s like your job sneaking into your kitchen and saying, “How about some ice cream for those feels?” The cool thing to remember? Balance your feelings, work, and munchies for a healthier you.
